Read MoreWhen you purchase a Florida Animal Friend specialty license plate, $25 goes directly to fund organizations that are awarded grants to provide free or low-cost spay and neuter services for dogs and cats in Florida. These services are often made available to pets of low-income families as well as programs to spay/neuter large-breed dogs or free-roaming community cats.
By purchasing the plate or donating to show your support, you are helping us become one step closer to ensuring that all animals can have a safe, happy, and loving home. Supporters like you are our best defense against Florida pet overpopulation.
Is your organization, shelter, or agency already fighting the good fight against Florida pet overpopulation? First of all, thank you! Second of all, we’d love for you to apply for one of our annual grants. That’s exactly the kind of work we support here at Florida Animal Friend.
Your organization can apply for a Florida Animal Friend Grant between January 1st and April 1st every year. Funds of up to $25,000 per recipient organization are dispensed in late August each year, with follow-up reports due September 1st of the following year as a progress check-in. Each spring, we encourage municipal and nonprofit agencies like yours to submit these funding proposals so we can increase access to low-cost spay and neuter services in Florida. After all, we couldn’t hope to put an end to Florida pet overpopulation without you!
