Florida Animal Friend awards up to $25,000 annually to organizations offering free or low-cost spay/neuter services for cats and dogs.

Before you begin filling out an application, confirm your eligibility by answering a few quick questions. It’ll save you time and help ensure you’re on the right track.

Are you a Florida nonprofit with IRS 501(c)(3) status, or a city, county, or tribal animal control agency?

Will this grant support a low-cost or no-cost spay/neuter program that expands your current spay/neuter efforts?

Is your proposal focused only on cats and/or dogs, and only on animals in Florida?

Do you understand that the grant cannot be used for pre-adoption sterilizations?

Will funds be used only for costs directly tied to spay/neuter (not transportation, exams, vaccines except rabies, or capital improvements)?

Are you currently receiving a grant that's still in progress? If so, you won't be eligible until after September 1.
